Various Biomass crops are being planted to be used as fuel for a biomass based power project.
Besides the old plantation of tea, we have developed new plantation of 350 hectares of Rubber.
We have also planted commercially attractive AGAR in an area of around 25 Hectares. We will increase the area under AGAR gradually. AGAR is a plant which is used into making fragrance and in various other products.
As pilot projects we have taken up cultivation of wheat, maize and mustard as well.
